FAQ

What does a studio tour entail?

Studio tours (both physically and virtually) are 30 mins of showing you around the space. Current works and upcoming works will be shown. I'll give you an insight into my creative journey and inspirations. Give you a sketchbook tour of one randomly selected off my shelves. 15 mins are reserved for the end for any questions. Tours are private and are meant to give you an insight on me as an artist and my work. Check availability under studio tours!

What is the turn-around time for commissions and when do they open up?

Commissions take 2-3 days to complete from start. Digital gets sent instantly tru e-mail and graphite drawings take anywhere from 3-5 business days to get mailed within the US. There is oftentimes a list for commissions and you may be further down the list. However, when commissions are accepted I will let you know where you are on the list and the expected start date. You can go under the shop menu to book a commission.

I open up 6 slots on the 1st of each month at 8am EST. Subscribers get first dibs. Once I reach capacity I close the availability up. At the moment there is no wait list. First come first served.

How can I get painted and how do you choose your models?

I paint those who I've met tru my travels or who I genuinely find intriguing. I'm really big on connecting and providing a space where people feel comfortable opening up and telling their story. As a portrait painter we often paint how we perceive people but, I really enjoy seeing how people perceive themselves. If you take the time to have a genuine conversation with me and I feel a connection- mostly likely down the line I'll reach out and inquire about using you as a muse. Models don't get the painting once completed and I hold the rights to sell and reproduce the image. So, if you're interested in having a custom portrait I recommend booking a commission.

What can one expect when visiting your studio?

My studio is very rustic with touches of antiques everywhere you look. My vibrant and fresh paintings give a spark of energy in the space. When visiting you can look at original works, scroll through old sketchbooks, watch me paint, sit down and have a conversation, and shop originals, prints, pins, and stickers. It's an inviting space that welcomes everyone. Dogs are welcomed. Dogs are always welcomed.

What are your studio hours?

My hours change every month due to being based in NYC as well as Savannah. When you book a studio-visit you can see what my hours are for the current month. You can also sign up for the e-mail list and be updated on hours as well as some fun behind the scenes footage.

What is the best way to stay up-to-date with showings/events/upcoming works?

Best way is to join my e-mail list. Every month you will get one e-mail that updates you on all that good stuff plus more. You can also check out the blog on the website. Or follow me on IG or Twitter (which can be found on the footer of each page).
