Turkish Delights

These paintings were born from time spent in Turkey during a period of conflict, interrupted by a mandated week of peace. In that brief pause, daily life continued with remarkable tenderness—families gathered, streets stayed alive, conversations softened, and for a moment, uncertainty seemed to rest quietly beside hope.

The work reflects that fragile in-between space: the tension of not knowing what comes next while still choosing to live fully in the present. Through layered atmospheres and quiet moments, the paintings explore resilience, vulnerability, and the human instinct to seek beauty and connection even under the shadow of unrest.
